PYC CAMPING TRIP

November 4 - 5

We’re heading out to the MacKay Farm

so get out your sleeping bags and marshmallow roasting sticks!

It will be an overnight of FUN, NIGHT ADVENTURES, BUILDING FRIENDSHIPS, ENJOYING THE CREATION AROUND US, GROWING IN FAITH and of course MARSHMALLOWS!

Friends are welcome!

The cost is FREE

We will meet at the church at 4:00 on Friday and return at 4:00 on Saturday.

Close toed shoes

Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.)

We’ll be unplugged for the weekend - leave your electronics at home :)

Mountain Top Experiences

We had our first meeting in the new youth room! It was nice and cozy! Thanks to everyone who worked hard to get it ready and looking great! We celebrate and are grateful for the life of the former FKPC member who made it possible for us to fix up the space.

We can't wait to use it for years to come!

This year we are growing with God. God is not our boss or our parent, God is our purpose! We're going to discover together what that means. Have you ever had a mountain top experience? One of those times when God's presence was felt so closely and so strongly, you knew without a doubt that God was with you? As we shared some of our own mountain top experiences we realized that those times occur most often when we are in nature or when we're using the gifts that God has given us. Mountain top experiences give us a spiritual high. We find ourselves renewed and with more energy to do God's work and live as though God is our purpose. But we can stay on the mountain top forever - sometime we have to come down - and learn to live with God in our everyday. That's what this year is all about - growing with God and learning to live with God as our purpose everyday, whether we're on the mountain top or not.

We finished out the evening tie dying bandana's - but we're not done with them yet!! Stay tuned...

New Beginnings

So is the PYC Kick-off a new beginning or a continuation? Maybe it's a little bit of both.

We'll be doing many of the things that we did last year, but we've got new things coming up too! We had a great time with those who were able to make it - good food (Thanks David for the pulled pork and the rest of the leaders for the sides!), great worship (Thanks Kim!), energizing energizers, and fast and fun games! We missed those of you couldn't make it - you make our group better when you are with us! Hopefully we'll see you next week!

School starts in less than a week! Can you believe it?! I always loved going back to school and the anticipation of new beginnings – new teachers, new classmates, a new year to try and do new things. And beyond… ROCK THE UNIVERSE – Saturday, September 10 We’re heading to Orlando Universal Studios for a night of music and riding the rides. David Crowder Band, Third Day, Relient K, and more will be there! $25.00 for PYC regulars, $50.00 for friends. Your money is due August 28! CHICKEN DINNER FUNDRAISER – Sunday, October 2 David MacKay is bringing out the BBQ! We’ll be selling tickets for folks to buy a delicious Chicken Dinner throughout the month of September. We need your help! The money we raise will go to help offset the cost of our youth events for the year! CAR WASH – Saturday, October 22 The ladies are having their annual craft bazaar and we’ll be joining them again to wash cars. Bring out the sponges and the buckets!
